Drift 13 | Fireside

2go_athleta_2_header DSC_0771DSC_0757DSC_0762DSC_0786 DSC_0700 DSC_0696 DSC_0691Fireside yoga or an afternoon walk with your love.  You can wear these recycled polyester pants from Athleta for either one.  Yes, I said recycled and the fabric is brushed which means it’s super soft on your skin.  For yoga I paired them with a black scoop neck tank but for my afternoon walk I threw in more prints.  If you have been keeping up with fashion magazines or blogs you know that mixing prints is HUGE for Spring.  And while we don’t have spring weather in Northern California yet I’m still attempting the trend.  I mixed a pair of lumberjack boots with menswear polka dot socks and this gorgeous creme sweater with a dainty pointelle knit.  Then because I didn’t think 4 prints was enough I topped it off with a chevron gold scarf.

It may be overwhelming for some of you but try just mixing 2-3 prints and textures.  You can mix more prints if you stay in one color family or warm or cool tones.  Most of my colors were neutrals (except for the pop of blue in my shoes).

The zip up sweater is another piece I have been living in because it’s lightweight, easy to layer and the sleeves are actually long enough for me to use the thumb holes!  (I have extremely long arms . . . Go Go Gadget is a nickname I have acquired.)
